Register now! From the windows xp recovery console i used the command: chkdsk /p/r All I got (immediately after pressing ENTER) was: The volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems. Apparently (I work for dell and didn't know this) they partition all HD before they give them out to have some of they're basic diagnostic software on them. I suggest you run a more thorough diagnostic on your Drive 0 using Dell Diagnostics.
