If the repair doesn't get you anywhere it might be time to reinstall Windows from scratch. I am at a loss on what to do and would like to try anything possible to fix the problem rather than wiping the computer and re-installing Windows. msconfig didn't work,chkdsk /f /r C: says c the type of file system is NTFS Cannot lock current drive Chkdsk cannot run because volume is in use by another process My roomie passed me her laptop with windows 7, which isn't booting.
